Aspen Pleasant is an MFA student at Spalding University and has been published in Epistemic Literary, Stone of Madness Press, and the opening pages of his yet-to-be-published novel, Love as a Portal, placed as finalist in the 2026 Sunspot Lit Inception Contest. Love as a Portal explores queer identity, religious trauma, chosen family, and the cost and reward of falling in love.
